Hi, I’m Patsy Deal and I am addicted to pencils. I have been painting since 1988, starting in oils, then acrylics, working thru all different mediums along the way. I love being the student, taking classes, learning from as many different teachers as I can.I started teaching at my chapter and with my friends encouragement submitted to teach at conventions. I have taught at Oklahoma City Tole Country, several SDP conventions, HOOT and Houston’s Artist Expo. And I have been published in the Decorative Painter several times. I found that I love teaching because not only do I get to share with the class, but the students also have a wealth of information to share with me.
I love the challenge of colored pencils, it make me feel more involved with the subject. In finding the right blend of colors, trying to interpete what I see. I have also fallen in love with PanPastels, using them for my backgrounds.
I have been married for 43 years to a wonderful man that has allowed me to play with art and is my biggest fan. We have one son, a wonderful daughter in law and 2 beautiful grandkids that love creating as much as I do. I am very blessed.
